Donald Joseph Qualls (also known as DJ Qualls) is an American actor, producer and model. After gaining acclaim for his part in Road Trip, he's appeared in over 20 movies. These include The New Guy Hustle & Flow, The Core and The New Guy Hustle & Flow. He has also appeared in more than 22 television series including Breaking Bad Supernatural Scrubs Lost Law & Order among others. As a survivor of Hodgkin's Lymphoma, which he was diagnosed at the age of 14 Qualls is an avid fighter. Following two years of treatment, the cancer was cured. But, early treatment caused severe adverse effects on the quality of his life and growth. In his early years He was raised in the poverty of his life and therefore financial stability seemed like his main goal. I've lived so frugally over the years that I need to have that financial security or my life feels a bit too much for me he stated in an interview. The actor also thinks about his own youth to determine what he could do to stop being bullied. "Cruelty makes me cry," he said. Both in real life and on screen, DJ would love to be the role of a father. He does however admit that directors do not usually choose me for such role. One day he'd like to become a dad and be able to devote less time for his job and more to the child he has.
