Jeanie Marie Buss has been an American Entrepreneur for more than twenty years. She is the owner and the president of Los Angeles Lakers National Basketball Association. Buss was born in California and grew up as part of a rich family. Jerry Buss is her father. He was an estate tycoon, and later the manager of Lakers, among other businesses. The emotional strain she felt was exacerbated as her parents divorced in the year 1972. When she was 19 years old, she was appointed the General Manager of Los Angeles Strings, a professional tennis club. In the future, she established her own Los Angeles Blades pro roller hockey team. She first served as vice-president of the Lakers before taking on the position of president of the Great Western Forum. Her father died in 2013 and his controlling ownership of the Lakers was transferred to Buss and her five siblings via a trust for the family with each sibling having the same vote.
